In the office, we’ve been working hard to try and bring our participants an Adventurous Journey opportunity. We’ve finally found an absolutely great trip.
We have partnered with Northern Soul Outfitters to take out a canoe trip Aug. 17-21, 2009. The first day will be a prep and planning day in the city, and the actual trip will be Aug. 18-21. We will be going to Caddy Lake at Whiteshell provincial park. The cost is $300 and includes transportation to and from Caddy Lake, a guide, Canoes, Paddles, PFD’s, tents, food, and all other equipment. All you need to bring is your own personal items.

This will be a really fun trip and it can qualify for any level of the Award you are working on.
I found this video on YouTube from some participants of the D of E programme who did a canoe trip at Caddy Lake three years ago. It will give you an idea of the fun things in store.
