The Manitoba Division is offering a Canoe Trip opportunity to any interested participants. The trip will be from Aug. 17-21, 2009. The trip is being taken out by Northern Soul Outfitters. They will be providing transportation to and from the city to Caddy Lake, equipment, food, and a guide. This is a reputable company that takes out trips all summer long as well as they have all of the industry standards in certifications. The cost of the trip is $300 per person, whoever financial assistance is available, all you have to do is call our office at 988-3016.
I’m sure that some of you will have some qualms about going on a canoe trip. If you’ve never been in a canoe before, our wonderful guide will show you how. Whether you are an adventurous outdoorsy person or you’ve never been camping before, you will have a good time on this trip. This is what The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is all about….challenging yourself to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new or different. It’s also about learning how to make new friends, work as a team, and experience adventures that you may never have experienced before. For the outdoorsy person, it’s a chance to get out there and share your experiences and love of the wilderness with others. This is also an opportunity to take on a leadership role if you so choose. This trip has something to offer for everyone.
